Chateau Marmont : 'Nibiru'

Chateau Marmont : 'Nibiru'

Chateau Marmont Nibiru

Released: 31st May 2010

Label: Institubes

The word electro is enough to send a cold chill down many music fans spines as the industry continue to constantly force feed the public poor watered down versions of a genre that for so long was for music purists. Parisans’s Chateau Marmont have achieved the unthinkable and produced an E.P that takes the experimental elements of electro and fused it with good old fashioned pop. The result is an E.P that’s both beautiful and original, a masterpiece both well thought out and not afraid to break the mould that plagues so much electro currently.

Nibiru is notably inspired by Kraftwerk and with its whirling synths, robotic voices and undeniably catchy hooks this little gem will even appeal to those who may find it difficult to see past the crazy band name.

This isn’t just standard electro, Chateu Marmont produce lo-fi music that should appeal to a wide audience, ‘Nibiru’ is a rousing collection of tunes done well, by some of the masters of the scene.
