The Ghost : City Lights

The Ghost : City Lights

The Ghost

Released: 6th June 2010

Label: Sunday Best

You might not think that think two Danish Twenty-something’s could hold the future of credible indie-electro in the palms of their hands, however if The Ghost’s debut single 'City Lights' is anything to go by, this is most definitely the case.

Signed to Rob Da Bank’s Label Sunday Best the band owe as much to the likes of Eurovision as they do to the likes of The Strokes; the song succeeds not only in arousing your ears but also gives your brain a good work out as well, proving this band have buckets of substance.

Opening with a hypnotic synth loop before descending off into power pop territory complete with scatterings of dangerously enchanting guitar riffs and brilliantly grandiose vocals, it’s hard to find fault in this 3 minute pop gem, Step aside The Temper Trap these guys do it far better.
